Sunday Selections

This box not a regular subscription box.  Saw this Yule box on Etsy and ordered it.  Yule is the time of year when the dark half of the year relinquishes to the light half. Starting the next morning at sunrise, the sun climbs just a little higher and stays a little longer in the sky each day. It's actually one of my favorite days.
When I opened the package.
Everything in the box.
Yule candles.   The color of the candles is red, green and white to represent “season".
Yule Herbal Incense Mix.  Includes Mistletoe, Sage, Rosemary, Frankincense and Myrrh.
Frankincense and Myrrh Resin Incense.  Frankincense and Myrrh incense is a powerful scent long used in ancient magical practices.  Frankincense tears are known for their use in meditation, protection, and purifying.  Myrrh is known for protection, purification, and healing.  Burn it for meditation, peace, protection, and healing.
Gold Candle Holder.  Gold to represent the "Sun God"
Yule Annointing oil  created specifically for this holiday.
2 small pieces of garnet: a stone of love and relationships, and a stone of protection

3 small pieces of emerald: considered a stone of regeneration and recovery, assisting one in healing negative emotions. A stone of wisdom, love and great harmony. It is said to help one appreciate and enjoy life to its fullest!

2 clear quartz pieces: quartz is known as the "master healer" and will amplify energy and thought as well as effect other crystals
Cinnamon Incense Cones can be burned to sanctify an area or object, increase the spiritual moon and aid in healing in general. It smells really good and fills the room with memories of Christmas past.  (I used it in my kitchen to keep away from fire alarm).
Homemade Herbal Mint Tea.  Peppermint, spearmint, and star anise.
I couldn't find the ingredients, but it appears to have cloves, star anise, some type of wood, and one other spice.
Cedar and little ornament.  Traditionally, a Shaman used the leaf from a cedar tree for protection in sacred ceremony. Native American Traditions: Cedar is burned while praying. The prayers rise on the cedar smoke and are carried to the creator. Cedar branches are brushed in the air to cleanse a home during the house blessing ceremony of many Northwest Indian Nations.

  4. Garnet is my birth stone.
On this side of the world I am looking forward to the time when our days get a little shorter (and hopefully cooler). Love those scents at any time of the year though.
