Musings of an Urban Pagan
The above was my childhood home, and as soon a I saw it, memories of my childhood arose.
The two are often inseparable.
Definitely. So many memories in this home.
Oh-that so true!!! xo Diana
I have so many memories in the house above. Brought tears to my eyes.
And that is the truth.
I stood in awe when I went back two years ago. Been gone for 50 years, but so many memories flooded into my head.
Truth. My childhood home was bulldozed and replaced with a McMansion. And I mourn.
When I went back home, everything was the same. The neighborhood hadn't even been built up anymore....and that after 50 years. Only difference was the house above was green when I lived there.
So much of my old neighborhood has changed, people share photos and sometimes I hardly recognize it anymore. I haven't been back there since 2007 and even from then to now it's changed so much. I saw a picture of the place I grew up in, it too has changed. Don't know if I'll ever get back out that way, but I'd probably need a tour guide if I did.
You are from Brooklyn, right? All of Brooklyn is changing. Not as quaint as it used to be. I'm not happy with the changes.
Yes I am, Greenpoint area. I'm not happy with how things are changing there, and I don't live there anymore LOL. It's just some changes don't seem necessary and definitely don't fit in with the neighborhood. It's just sad to see it all changing.
There times I been by my childhood home I want to knock on door and see how they change it inside.Coffee is on
Thanks for sharing the photograph of your childhood home, haven't been back to mine for many years, and I'm sure things have changed … many happy memories though :)All the best Jan
