Monday Morning This and That
Good morning everyone. Another week begins. It's going to be another busy one. Today is much warmer than it has been. Already 70 degrees. Personally I prefer the cooler, less humid temps.
Friday was a fairly good day for me. Participated in Tai Chi and Arthritis Exercises, had lunch, and headed to the bank to deposit some money. Stopped at the market and bought a few meats. Saturday I spent the morning in the kitchen and the afternoon in bed. Not been sleep well because of my pain lately so I grab sleep whenever I can.
1 did a bigger food shopping on Sunday and had it delivered. I can't carry like I used to. Made myself this delicious black bean soup.
It turned out kind of thick as I had forgotten to buy chicken broth so I improvised, but it was yummy nonetheless.
I am also aware that I've been putting on weight, how much I don't know, but it's not helping with pain. I know I said this before but it is definitely time for me to get back on track and get this weight off. It will definitely help.
Took this picture on my way out yesterday.
This is what it looks like next door. Notice how close it is to my bedroom window. (First Floor). What a nightmare.
Have a wonderful day.

Mmmm, that black bean stew/soup looks delicious! Have a good week, Mary.
ReplyDeleteIt was actually very good. I didn't think it would be because a key ingredient was missing, but I think I will make it like this again.
DeleteThat wonderful cool air that we had this weekend had me making soup also (Tuscan vegetable with tortellini). It was a good way to use up the veggies in the fridge. Your bean soup looks yummy.
ReplyDeleteHave my veggie bean soup on the stove now, but the weather has warmed up to summer like. Fortunately it is not going to last.
DeleteI am sorry about your pain (and the pain of construction).
ReplyDeleteThe soup sounds good.
What a mess next door. now with all this rain coming its going to be all mud around here.
DeleteYour soup looks really delicious and, being thicker than usual, is more like a lovely warming stew. You've made me feel hungry now! Lol
ReplyDeleteOh I'm so sorry you're having to endure all this going in next door all the time. Here's hoping it won't be for too much longer. It is awful.🙁
I hope you are having a good day, in spite of all the noise and mess!
Love and hugs ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Luckily they have not been working on weekends. Gives us a break.
DeleteThe soup looks delicious! I prefer my soups on the thicker side! :-)
ReplyDeleteThe weight loss may totally help those ailments!
It turned out will. Definitely making it again. That's how I know I am putting on weight. My ailments are hurting more. When I lost I was much better.
DeleteIt's definitely the time of year for soups …
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
That soup looks so good Mary! I'm sorry about the construction! Please take care of yourself! Big Hugs!
