Under the Weather

I am a bit under the weather today...head is pounding, throat is sore, body aches, cold chills, unable to sleep last night.  We just got a new mattress, and I know we needed one, but I don't handle changes well.  Tossed and turned part from the hardness of the new mattress and partly because my throat was so sore I could barely swallow.  So, today I plan on pulling up the covers and taking care of me...chicken noodle soup. lots of Vitamin C, and so on.  Hopefully I'll be back on my feet tomorrow.

Take care everyone, and have a great day.

  1. Oh I am so sorry!!!! No fair, that you get a summer cold bug. -sigh-

Can someone get you Halls Honey-Lemon Throat Drops (or whatever they call "cough drops" now)? After my 7 weeks of cold-bronchitis-etc., I feel I am now an *expert* on how to sooth a sore throat. And thus, how to get a better night's rest.

And no, I do not own any stock in Halls products. -grin-

Rest! Rest! Stay hydrated. And rest some more!

    Gentle hugs,

  4. I hope you feel better soon honey. Strep is going around, so if your throat is still as painful and you have the body aches and chills, best take your sweet hiney to the doc.

  7. I’ve tried all sorts of coughing syrups, believe me, but none of them helps. Even though Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa http://www.geocities.jp/ninjiom_hong_kong/index_e.htm does not eliminates the cough I like to stick to this chinese syrup I’ve been taking since I was a kid: Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa. My grandfather is chinese, so I guess my mom got the advice from him. I was really surprised when I found that chinese market selling it here in Belgium. It does have a refreshing, soothing, sweetening effect…as long as it lasts…then back to coughing mode.
