All Nature has a Feeling

All nature has a feeling: woods, fields, brooks
Are life eternal: and in silence they
Speak happiness beyond the reach of books;
There's nothing mortal in them; their decay
Is the green life of change; to pass away
And come again in blooms revivified.
Its birth was heaven, eternal it its stay,
And with the sun and moon shall still abide
Beneath their day and night and heaven wide.

John Clare
It's a cooking weekend for me again. The weeks in between seem to be getting shorter and shorter. We're in for a rainy weekend so I guess standing over the stove won't be too bad; it's not like it will be a day for some outdoor fun...and if I get too hot, I can always run out in the back yard and dance in the raindrops as I did when I was  young.  Kids here in the city don't play in the rain like we used to do so at least there won't be any neighbors out there to bother me.

Wishing you all a weekend filled with joy, wonder, and love
.

  1. Have a good weekend Mary...the rain will be here later this evening and into tomorrow...we need a good quenching thirst for Our Mother the Earth.

Dancing in the rain sounds so good about right now!

What a lovely poem you shared today. I very much enjoyed it. :)

    Blessings Dear One...

  4. "All nature has a feeling"...how beautiful and how true! I've been enjoying this stormy weather by staying in and daydreaming as I watch the earth being "washed" by Mother Nature.
Have a most beautiful and blissful weekend.
    xo!
