Weekend Wishes

Whether you know it or not, one of the most important relationships in your life is with your Soul.
Will you be kind and loving to your Soul, or will you be harsh and difficult?
Many of us unknowingly damage our Souls with our negative attitudes and actions
or by simple neglect. By making the relationship with your Soul an important part of your life,
however, by honoring it in your daily routine, you give your life greater meaning
and substance. Use your experiences--all of them--as opportunities to nourish your Soul!

Elisabeth Kuebler-Ross

Closing out the week with one of my favorite authors.  Her books helped me through some difficult times.   What an amazing woman she was!

It's going to be a busy weekend for me.  Not only is it a  cooking weekend, but there are people coming to bless my home Saturday evening.  My son has taken most of his things from the home and will be moving out completely on Sunday.  Already I am feeling a sense of loss, but it is selfish of me to hold on.  He has to be free to grow just as I was free to grow, as I was free to make mistakes, to learn the lessons of life.  Empty nest syndrome here I come.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

  2. It should not take too long for the empty-nest syndrome to fade...It'll be good for you both...and then you can enjoy him when he comes to visit...

  3. Happy Home Blessings Mary!

I think I still do the empty-nest thing from time to time but give 'em a while when they are here and I'm ready to send 'em packing!
    Ha Ha Ha...

I'll be thinking of you Dear Sister! :)

    All my love,

  5. What a lovely writing. Me-thinks I'll have to look up her writings...:-)

Happy weekend. Even with cooking and moving out-ness in it. ,-) The blessing will be happy, for sure.

Oh yes Mary, it's very late for empty nest syndrome. Think of how much longer you had one of them there, than most anyone else.<--Not any help, hu?

    OK I'll stop. :-)

  6. I think it LOOKS Full. But another site says the date is Jan. 9th. Hope so, since I will have time to get ready. :-)

Thank you for bringing it to mind. As I said, I must get in the habit of watching for myself, since my silly calendar doesn't show it.
