Home
is the one place in all this world where hearts are sure of each other.
It is the place of confidence. It is the place where we tear off that
mask of guarded and suspicious coldness which the world forces us to
wear in self-defense, and where we pour out the unreserved
communications of full and confiding hearts. It is the spot where
expressions of tenderness gush out without any sensation of awkwardness
and without any dread of ridicule.

Home Sweet Home!
ReplyDeleteAfter being out someplace, it always feels good to come home. Doesn't take me long to get into my jammies either.
DeleteBeautiful~
ReplyDeleteLovely photo. Nothing says home better than a rocking chair by the window or on the front porch...
Hugs~
I wanted a rocker like my grandmother had. It's my favorite place to sit.
DeleteI think this quotation has the truth of what "home" really means. But unfortunately, for many people, the home where they grew up doesn't fit this description. And so they must find another place or person who is home to them. That is my hope for all of us--that we will find our home. Peace.
ReplyDeleteMy home when I was growing up was nothing like my home now. It was as dysfunctional as a home could be. Took me almost 50 years to find a place I could really call home.
DeleteI'm so glad that you found that place. I, too, found it. The name of my blog is "Coming Home to Myself." When that happened, I found contentment. Peace.
DeleteEchoing Dee.
ReplyDeleteI grew up in a dysfunctional household. Took me many years to find what I can finally call a home.
DeleteI am so very glad you have found a home. At last.
DeleteHome sweet home …
ReplyDeleteHome is where the heart is …
All the best Jan
