Far away in the land of "If and Perhaps"
The city of "Make-Believe" lies,
With its wonderful, beautiful towers and domes
And turrets that reach the skies;
'Tis peopled by fairies, pixies, and gnomes,
And nobles and ladies fair,
And the poorest gamin that walks the streets
Is a prince if he enters there...

I am assuming that is your "City of Make Believe" in this photo Mary...it is lovely.
ReplyDeleteJust because we grow older doesn't mean that the world of "make believe" must disappear and that dreams cannot come true.
Hugs 💮
Ah, yes, they are a part of my miniature wonderland. I am in awe of fairies, mermaids, and unicorns.
DeleteImagination is often a precious gift.
ReplyDeleteIt definitely is. Sometimes on particularly bad days I go to bed and allow my imagination to take me elsewhere.
DeleteVery good quote. It brings to mind the Chuck Mangione tune, "Land of Make Believe." GREAT MUSIC!! ;)
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a little girl we used to visit the Land of Make Believe. It was in New Jersey. Don't think it's there anymore. That was a good long time ago.
DeleteLove your miniature wonderland.
ReplyDeleteMay there always be a little magic in our lives … although it's not always so.
All the best Jan
