The Sunday Afternoon Blahs
Good afternoon. Gosh, I can't believe it is Sunday afternoon all ready. I've ironed, laid out clothes for the week, did my nails, and washed my hair...all set for another week of work. Sometimes I cannot believe how monotonous my life has become...Every Sunday it is the same thing...and yesterday, I wanted to do something different and go to Coney in the evening, but, it was a cooking weekend, and by the time I shopped and cooked two weeks worth of food, I was good for nothing. My feet were swollen and my back was aching so I didn't even try it.
I did find a wonderful ocean meditation video online, however. It was great, and I did feel as if I was participating in last night's event. The meditation video was 14 minutes long...no music...just the sound of the waves breaking across the shore. And when it was finished, I realized that perhaps sending healing thoughts in that way was better than going to the beach. Coney can be packed with thousands of people on weekends...not to mention the weekly fireworks...definitely not the right atmosphere to send healing thoughts. If anyone is interested, you can find the video here...Ocean Wave Meditation
And I actually did get to the ocean....in my dreams. I found myself walking along the shoreline...my shoes kicked off...listening to the waves hitting the shore as they gently swirled around my feet. I was totally alone...only the gulls, myself, and the great Ocean Mother. It was great, and I didn't want it to end...but reality called.
I'm sort of at a loss for words today...just feeling down and out. I'll pull myself out of it...always do. Before I close this off, I have a question for all of you. Has anyone used this new template design on blogger? I'm kind of a nerd when it comes to this stuff, and I am so afraid of messing up my blogs.
Isn't it awesome what you can do and where you can go just using your mind...
ReplyDeleteThe new blogger sucks! At least till we figure out how to use it...which I haven't even tried yet. I read one blog where that happened, she lost it! So, mine stays the same for now.
Enjoy your Sunday Mary, rest your body...
On the new Blogger stuff. Please, please, please, please, please ... make yourself a "Test Blog" first!
ReplyDeleteI've already read one blogger, who lost her lovely set up, done by her daughter... When trying stuff out, with the new stuff.
I've had a "Test Blog" which is completely private, for some time. I do all my trying out, even of header pics, there. Any mistakes won't hurt my regular blog. :-)
Oh I will save the link to that video! I love, love, love the sound of the ocean! Have CD's with it. Mmmmmmmmmmm..........
I'm hesitant to try the new Blogger templates because I don't want to risk screwing anything up. I know . . . buck, buck, buckEYE!
ReplyDeletei tried the new booger background on my photo blog and had no problem, but i don't have a lot of extras on it either.
ReplyDeleteThis is why it's taking me forever to design my own blog. I have messed up more with the new design template. So, I'm studying CSS and HTML and grabbing everything I can about designing a blogger template from scratch. I've amassed some really good info. Let me know if you need or want any help/info. Btw, have you ever been to a Mystery School? You need to go. check out this website...http://www.ninegates.org/
ReplyDeleteI'm not trying the new blogger...I haven't even finished with the old one yet...scared to try putting on a list of what I watch...
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Mary! Saturday evening was beautiful, the energy was amazing. I can't help with the new blogger templates. Haven't tried them yet, but if I have time I will. Wishing you a week filled with laughter!

What a powerful dream! Very significant. Perhaps you are processing the Ocean's cry for help through your own body.
ReplyDeleteI just stood on my back deck, arms out, sending healing thoughts and vibes to Mother Ocean. I pictured all my blogging sisters doing the same.
Have not even tried the new blogger template. Just like most of the others, I'm afraid to screw things up.
