Newest Box

The other day I got my next installment on my Witchyone box.  There was no theme on this, but the items in the box are amazing.

Garnet bracelet.  The garnet carries with it a passionate energy.  This passion can be channeled into energy.  'Seek within your own heart where your passion is best utilized at this time and wear this bracelet as medicine.'

Blossom bracelet.  Delicate flowers that remind one of cherry blossoms.  Represents springtime. In hanakatoba they represent a pure and gentle heart. 'As we endure isolation through these unprecedented times, remember to carry the light of love within your aura.'
Foil stamped post cards.  They are included to remind one to stay connected.

Unicorn Selenite crystal.  This tower is all about unicorn medicine.  What we believe we create.  The unicorn represents all that is pure and innocent.  To be utilized when calling upon the healing of the earth.

Chevron Amethyst.  This piece is gorgeous.  It is said that chevron creates a healing field around one's body.  Immune boosting.  Improves self-discovery, peace of mind, and relaxation. It is also said to carry inner strength as well as courage.

Checking in

It's been rough here.  Very rough.  I cannot begin to tell you about the pain one feels when one loses a child.  I miss him so very much.  I cry every day although a little less than the first few days.  And then, a few days after my son's death, my daughter was diagnosed with covid.  My heart sank.  To lose one child hurts so much, but to lose two?  I couldn't bear to think of it.  Fortunately, it's 7 days now, and each day we see some improvement.

My center is offering online classes on Zoom which are really helpful.  Through them I am also meeting with a grief counselor every Thursday afternoon.  It surprised me how much there is to heal.  Old traumas that I thought were closed, were actually lurking deeply within my soul.  So that has been helpful in many ways.  I do have several friends from the center who I chat with on the phone every day.

The other day I received this amulet I had ordered in the mail, and it broke me down in tears.

There has been some issues with family and an old friend, but I won't burden you with that now.  Tomorrow is another day.  Hope you all are safe and well.  I've missed my Blogger family.

Almost a Week

Tomorrow will be a week that he is gone, and it still seems so surreal. I keep hoping that when I wake up, the nightmare will be over, but each day it is still there. This is so hard and made all the harder because it happened at a time that we cannot be together to hug and comfort. I try to keep myself busy, but there is very little that I want to do anymore. My apartment is a mess but I don't have the energy to clean it. I don't want to read, I don't to work on my puzzles, I don't want to make jewelry. I have no interest in anything anymore. They say it takes time, but I know I will never get over this loss. My son, my beautiful baby in heaven. Gone far too soon.

Thank you all for your continued support. I treasure all of you.

Taking a Break

I will not be on for awhile.  My youngest son passed away today.  He was only 36 years old.  I can't believe I will never hug again.
I open the refrigerator and Ralph has 2 Entemann's chocolate cakes, a marble pound cake, pound cake minis, mini pies, and chocolate chip cookies....and I confess, I have been eating them as well. For fruit I've been having canned and applesauce.  Last night I got the urge for fresh fruit and did some research and discovered the place right down the block from me, Circus Fruits, will take your order and deliver it to you. However, when I called to see what the minimum order was they said $50. $50!!!!!!! Are they kidding?

We are in a pandemic and as vulnerable citizens, must stay indoors. Who on earth eats $50 worth of fruit unless you have a lot of children. You would think at a time like this, with many people unable to work or get out of the house, they would lower that minimum. I wasn't going to ask for delivery of $5 for sure, but my goodness I am right down the block and would spend at least $25 in fruits and fresh veggies.

Tried the other fruit stand about 8 blocks away.  Turns out the delivery service they work with doesn't come to our zip code.  Odd, because we are so darn close to the store.  Sent a message to the store itself and advised them they need a new delivery service.  They thanked me for letting them know and advised that he would have someone deliver to me but...60 per cent of his workers are out sick.   Hubby had wanted to go over there on Friday to get an avocado, but I talked him out it because a lot of the Orthodox Jews who are not practicing social distancing go there.  I thank God that I did.

Tried Fresh Direct.  No deliveries through next week.   No deliveries for Whole Foods.  And I am not going out there so I might as well forget any fruit until I call in my order to Super Fresh next week.

Meanwhile, this was dinner from the Department of Aging last night.

It was delicious.   Best meal I got from the yet.

Monday This and That

Good morning everyone. It's getting very intense here in the city. They say we should hit the apex within the next 7 days, and although that means the number of cases will begin to lessen after that, it also means there will be a lot of death around us this week. Oh my. I don't know how to begin explaining how it is here. Refrigerator trucks are lined up in front of hospitals because there are no room in the morgues. My God, will it ever end? It's eerie. We had to step out for some errands on Friday, and it was like an invisible enemy was surrounding us. Sometimes I feel like I am ready to break.

And the Hasidic Jews. What can I say? They just don't get it. Police have had to break up large weddings and other gatherings and last week there were thousands of them marching in the streets for the funeral of a Rabbi. I don't understand them. I read last week where a Rabbi said they think they are the chosen ones and the virus won't touch them. But it is. Parents are sick in the house and children are playing in the streets. They are dying . Their areas have the highest virus rates in the city. Why? Why? Why?

I've been getting meals from the senior center, and it's really been so helpful in more ways than one. Not only does it save me some money, but also offers hubby some lunches. I don't eat seafood so I give them to him. And these lunches have improved. Yesterday I had a Mediterranean Grain Bowl which included:

(Sorry it looks so sloppy. I was so hungry I started eating before remembering to take the picture)

Grilled honey chicken, brown basmati rice, black lentils, Eggplant, crumbled Feta, and pita wedge. As you can see, it was delicious.

No plans for today. Going to check out some zoom classes and do some reading.
Prayers for all and prayers for my city as we enter this crucial time.

March Inked Goddess Box

The theme for this month's Inked Goddess box is "Witches Love Crystals".  When I originally found out that the box was going to be crystals I was about to ask them not to send this months.  Not that I don't love crystals, but I have so many.  But I said, 'what the heck' and let them send it.  So glad I did.  I don't have any of these crystals.

Shaman Stone.  From the Grand Canyon.  Made of Sandstone and Iron.  The perfect stone to accompany you on spiritual journeys.

This stone is absolutely gorgeous.  Oco Geode from Brazil.  It has an Agate outer shell with an inner lining of druzy Quartz.

Star Ruby crystal wand.  A form of Corundum found mainly in India.

 Raw Garnet.

Witches Love Crystals Expansion pack for the Eclectic Witch Deck.  Information on Oco Geodes, Auralite, Star Crystals, and Shaman Stones.

Crystal cleanse kit which includes:

Hematoid Quartz point.

Pink Himalayan Salt.

Crystal Cleanse Votive.  A blend of Frankincense and sage with clear Quartz chips added to help cleanse your gemstones.

Directions for cleansing.

Green Opal.

Next months theme is Visionary Magick.  Can't wait.
