I happen to love the word and revel in calling myself Crone. I think it is a reclaiming of something that was taken from us - lost respect for elders/older/elderly as opposed to a time when they were revered for their wisdom and experience.<br />As for the young man, while he may not intended to hurt you, it was a careless and insensitive.
